Body Of Mad Lawal, Mentally Unstable Unilorin Graduate Who Committed Suicide In Festac Found

The corpse of the University of Ilorin graduate who escaped from his friends before jumping into the river in Festac Lagos on Saturday has been recovered.

29-year-old Bayode Lawal aka Mad Lawal reportedly committed suicide in his bid to prove a point to his family members over the weekend.

According to friends, Lawal who suffered from seasonal mental illness caused a scene at a Mobil filling station in Festac where he reportedly expressed sadness by rolling on the floor before heading to the canal where he committed suicide on Saturday.

His corpse was recovered by rescue workers around 1:30pm on Sunday.
